Waiakea Water is Taking Eco-Friendly to the Next Level
The ubiquitous bottled water has been a global multi-billion dollar industry for decades. From all over the world, we could find many different brands that seamlessly market and sell their purified waters with ease. New companies are tying something new in their efforts to stand out, mostly generate new catchy slogans or enrich their waters with every vitamin known to mankind, in alphabetical order. There are a few brands that actually do stand out in the bottle water business. One that comes to mind is the Waiakea Hawaiian Volcanic Water.
Waiakea Water is probably the only company in the world to use Hawaii volcanic water as their main source. The truth is that the natural filtration process that occurs when the water flows through thousands of feet of the snow-capped Mauna Loa volcano, becomes naturally enriched with minerals we need. The alkaline rich Waiakea water ph levels range between 7.6 and 8.2, surpassing the standard purified level of seven and making it perfect for consumption. Volcanic water benefits you by providing a natural source for magnesium, potassium, calcium, silica and electrolytes.
The company is now in the process to release their new and fully degradable bottles to the public. They will be the very first bottled water brand to incorporate the nano-degradable innovative technology into their manufacturing process. This plastic will fully break down in fifteen years compared to normal plastics that could take over a thousand years to degrade. Waiakea Water also donates 650 liters of purified water to Malawi for every liter of Waiakea Water sold.
Waiakea Hawaiian Volcanic Water was co-founded by CEO Ryan Emmons and Matt Meyer in 2012. When they launched the brand, it was sold in 900 stores in fourteen states across the U.S. They also sold Waiakea Water in yoga studios, spas, fitness clubs and hotels. With only $12,000 to use for marketing and branding, the founders had to mostly rely on online advertising and social media for word-of-mouth. The premium bottled water brand has quickly caught on and is now one of the fastest growing companies in the United States.
